Novel

The germinating seed for my first novel came years ago when my sister began wondering what her cat, Pierre, was talking about all the time. She began to imagine his endless chatter was directed at kitties outside, his “troops” as we started calling them. It was fun to imagine what they were plotting, which led to us doing our own plotting. This book is the result of those musings and imaginings.

Complete with prison escapes, Halloween shenanigans, family reunions, a race of magical birds, and more, our story follows Pierre’s exploits as he aims to give voice to kitties everywhere through his newly created “Kitty Nation.” It’s an emotional journey sprinkled with humor, affection, risk, and rescue. These highly entertaining kitties know the meaning of camaraderie and teamwork, qualities which shine in their budding relationship with the “Tweeties,” special birds who aid the kitties and later depend on those same kitties for their own survival. This is animal fiction that’s almost believable. Narrated by the quirky and troubled “Tykie,” a kitty who uses his wit and dry humor to maintain his sanity, our family-friendly book isn’t just for cat lovers, but for anyone with an affinity for animal adventure.

You can find the book here, in the Kindle version or paperback.
